Amazon Guardian
Manifesto + Project + AG Sneakers
Created by Osklen in partnership with Instituto-E, Amazon Guardians is a movement that brings together more than twenty years of experience in sustainable development. It is a commitment to preserving the Amazon rainforest and the well-being of its indigenous peoples. A call for the urgent need to transform the concept of preservation into actions.
The Osklen AG sneakers were developed to be a sustainability milestone. They blend Osklen and Instituto-E's best practices with materials sourced from the forest. Their production is carried out in limited numbers, respecting the ideal extraction time of raw materials and the productive capacity of small producers. The Amazon supply chains are monitored by Instituto-E, which helps Osklen implement sustainable development strategies with all the links involved in this process
With the production of Osklen AG sneakers, we contribute to keeping the forest alive, strengthening the Amazon bioeconomy, and preserving Amazon territories and protected areas home to cultural, environmental, and social legacies.
More than a product, it is a commitment to the planet.
It calls for all to steer their consumption choices toward sustainable practices and goods.
We are responsible for our choices and consequences. Let us be guardians of the forest.

AG, JUTE FROM THE AMAZON
Jute is an Amazonian raw material grown organically on the banks of the forest rivers. The cultivation of jute is one of the main economic activities of riverside peoples in the state of the Amazon and Pará.
It is a sustainable, natural, and organic raw material since its planting is carried out on the banks of the river, dispensing the use of fires or deforestation to clear the land as the flood of the river itself takes care of this. The mud left after the rivers ebb serves as a natural fertilizer, making the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers unnecessary. The production process is carried out only with organic additives and vegetable oils – not causing sewage.
// strengthening the economy of the standing forest
// conservation of Amazonian socio-biodiversity
// zero deforestation
// water savings in the production process
// fair and ethical trade certification
PIRARUCU
Native to the Amazon Basin and destined for food, the Pirarucu fish is one of the largest freshwater species in the world. Through the e-fabrics project, developed by Instituto-E, it was possible to reuse their skin, previously discarded as waste, re-signifying this material in new products. Through Instituto-E, Osklen was the first fashion brand to use pirarucu fashion skin.
// The pirarucu skin used by Osklen comes from sustainability managed sources.
Zero deforestation. Amazon bioeconomy. Florest conservation. Brazilian cultural value.
NATURAL LATEX FROM THE AMAZON
Extracted from the rubber tree, latex is the raw material for natural rubber. The latex native to the Amazon region used in Osklen AG sneakers come from traditional extractive Amazonian communities in The Xingu and Tupi-Guaporé territories, references to the socio-biodiversity of the Brazilian Amazon.
- By choosing to use natural latex from the Amazon, Osklen contributes to:
